Jio to provide 5G internet on Chardham pilgrimage

Reliance Jio, India’s revolutionary telecom operator says it will provide high-speed 4G and 5G connectivity for the Chardham pilgrims. The move benefits hundreds of thousands of pilgrims in their sacred travels with seamless connectivity on their mobile phones.

Jio revolutionized the mobile industry with 4G and also said that its 5G network has achieved all-India coverage. In addition, it has strengthened the networks with more numbers of base stations in recent months. This allows Chardham pilgrims to stay connected with their loved ones at home thanks to Jio’s True 5G and 4G cellular networks. According to Jio, its 4G and 5G networks are available across all four Dhams and major towns along the pilgrimage route including Rishikesh, Haridwar, Srinagar, Devprayag, and others.

The Mukesh Ambani-led telco uses the 700 MHz band to deliver enhanced coverage for the 5G network. Thankfully, the high-quality network is not just available to cities, but also accessible in rural areas as required by the government of India. Jio also seems to have the highest median download speed in the country ahead of its arch-rival Bharti Airtel.

The enhanced cellular connectivity certainly delivers better network coverage and performance for pilgrims but also improves the daily life of the local residents who rely on cellular technology for their communications.

Jio’s 5G Fixed-Wireless Access (FWA) has reached 5000 towns in India. So far, Jio’s 5G is available to customers with the recharge with the Rs 239 plan or above or Rs 61 data voucher.
