T-Mobile says that 5G-Advanced can bring forth the real potential of 5G

T-Mobile justified the launch of 5G-Advanced, stating that modern wireless communications need high throughput and minimal latency, and it’s the technology that unlocks the potential of the 5G network. The telco also claims that only its customers can access the full capacity of 5G-Advanced thanks to it being designed on the 5G standalone gear.

“At T-Mobile, our vision for 5G-Advanced is not defined by a single moment, but by our continuous commitment to adapt and evolve,” said Ulf Ewaldsson, president of technology at T-Mobile. “Our 5G-Advanced journey is already underway – we’re not just adopting technologies; we’re actively shaping them to deliver more meaningful experiences for our customers.”

The company has categorized enhanced and enriched experiences, intent-based experiences, AI experiences, and pervasive experiences for 5G-Advanced use cases. It believes that the technology would get its justification from the experiences of users and businesses.
