PTA announces temporary mobile registration for Pakistanis

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced a system that lets Pakistani nationals and foreign visitors (tourists) register their phones while they are visiting the country. The authority has developed a system called the Temporary Mobile Registration System that accepts mobile registration from visitors.

According to the regulator, the system allows for a 120-day mobile registration that facilitates mobile users with communication during their stay in the South Asian country. The limited day validity means that it’s only a temporary service, and the registered accounts will be invalid after the stipulated duration is reached.

The system is designed to facilitate visitors with uninterrupted communication while on their visit to the country.
