Keysight Technologies has launched a test platform for Wi-Fi 7 devices, E7515W UXM Wireless Connectivity Test Platform. The company has called it a “turnkey solution” that covers new use cases on the latest IEEE 802.11be standards.
This groundbreaking WiFi 7 testing solution provides throughput testing at WiFi 7 scale which also includes 4×4 MIMO 320 GHz bandwidth. It also adds values of faster test setups, ‘and better performance to accelerate time-to-market for WiFi 7 devices.
The company said that the traditional solutions for WiFi 7 testing need “extremely complicated test setups with a large number of Wi-Fi devices and network channels to emulate real-world operating conditions.” In contrast, the E7515W UXM Wifi 7 Test Platform can emulate hundreds of Wi-Fi 7 clients at once and provides both signaling RF and throughput testing. It also includes 4×4 MIMO at 320 megahertz of bandwidth support for testing.

The E7515W UXM WiFi 7 Test solution offers these benefits:
Here are the main Keysight WiFi 7 Test Platform benefits:
- Keysight metrology: The new test platform expands the market-leading UXM 5G Network Emulation Solution to simulate Wi-Fi devices and traffic and help cover new use cases on the latest WiFi 7 standards.
- Wi-Fi 7 scale: The test platform can emulate hundreds of clients at once which is three times more than existing solutions in the market – and that without the need for additional equipment.
- Wi-Fi 7 throughput: The UXM test platform supports Wi-Fi 7 4×4 MIMO 320 MHz bandwidth and performs Wi-Fi 7 signaling RF and throughput testing on clients and APs while also including the latest 802.11 variants.
- Deeper insights: It’s capable of providing PHY/MAC-level information such as rate versus range, enhanced Rx sensitivity, radio unit (RU) sweep analysis, and full-rate throughput. In essence, it helps derive vital Wi-Fi signaling and RF throughput results.
- Integrated, turnkey platform: It can test “complex devices with 5G and LTE capabilities Wi-Fi/cellular interworking validation as well as integrated fixed wireless access (FWA) testing for the fast-growing customer premises equipment (CPE) market”.
- Simplified testing: It offers a simple testing solution. It helps reduce time spent on cabling and test setup, higher automation, and faster debugging and reporting.

“With the introduction of the E7515W solution, Keysight is expanding the market leading UXM 5G Network Emulation Solutions to simulate Wi-Fi devices and traffic to cover new use cases from the latest IEEE 802.11be standards,” said Mosaab Abughalib, senior R&D director and GM for Keysight’s Wireless Test Group. “The E7515W solution enables faster test setups with less complexity and delivers better load and bandwidth performance to help Wi-Fi 7 device makers accelerate time to market.”
WiFi 7 is gaining momentum with certification starting early 2024. Companies like TP-Link have already launched a range of WiFi 7 routes while smartphones such as Galaxy 24 Ultra, and OnePlus 12R come with support for this next-gen WiFi standard. So, we can surmise that the ecosystem for it is finally taking a huge push. But it will take quite a long for wide commercial adaptation.
