Vodafone UK Launches New 5G Mobile Data Travel eSIM Service

Vodafone UK has launched its Travel eSIM service with data packages. It’s available for both Android and iOS users and supports data backed by both 4G and 5G networks.

Vodafone’s Travel eSIM covers 206 destinations across 700 networks.  If you are a traveler and want to continue using Vodafone services, you can subscribe and enjoy the services while on the go. The operator provides data packs ranging from 1 GB to 150 GB with up to 90 days of validity.

Subscribers can also use the hotspot for multiple device connections under this subscription. However, according to the operator, the service doesn’t include standard voice and text messaging services. They can be used via customers’ existing or roaming plans.

Vodafone Travel eSIM price for different regions

The Vodafone Travel eSIM price starts at €4/£3.50/$4 for European subscription, while it’s €6/£5.50/$6 for North America. Likewise, the service will set you down by €8/£7/$8 for the Middle East and €10/£8.50/$11 for data in African packages.

You can learn more and subscribe to this service at travel.vodafone.com or through the telco’s app on the Android and iOS app stores.

One of the benefits of using an eSIM is that you don’t need to bother with a physical SIM card. You don’t have to eject the SIM card tray to slot in a SIM card and worry about its well-being. An eSIM is a virtual SIM technology and works after a user profile is installed.

Vodafone UK provides customer service through the Generative AI assistant SuperTOBI to address customers’ queries. It’s also partnering with other companies, such as Uber One, to complement the Travel eSIM service. Also see: The Future of Communication: Exploring the Power of RCS Messaging

Do note that to use the Vodafone Travel eSIM service, you need an eSIM-compatible phone. 4G and 5G phones are not a problem these days, as most smartphones these days have at least 4G network support, with more devices also coming with a 5G antenna. So, if you meet the first criterion, you are very eligible to subscribe to this service from Vodafone UK.
