Mint Mobile has started providing 5G home internet plans called MINTernet. The company is a subsidiary of T-Mobile and seeks to bolster its business diversification plans with home plans that start at $30 per month.
MINTernet works through T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network. Therefore, wherever T-Mobile’s 5G is available, you can use the home internet plan. The unlimited plan has a cap of 1 TB of data after which the speed is reduced, but you can continue to use the internet. It’s similar to T-Mobile’s home internet plans, where throttling takes place after 1.2 TB of consumption. Check out T-Mobile’s 5G Home Internet plans
MINTernet says that users can expect speeds from 133 Mbps to 415 Mbps, and upload speed could stay around 55 Mbps. Most of us spend our internet activity downloading, so uploading is less of a concern, and 55 Mbps is still a very decent upload speed to begin with. The company says that users can expect a latency of 16 to 28 ms most of the time.
