Essentially, it’s targeting broadband access for people in remote and rural areas in the country, as is the theme of satellite internet services. But beyond that, the tech giant also plans to bring connectivity to the maritime sector that needs satellite solutions for consistent communications.

In Malaysia, the National Digital Connectivity Plan (JENDELA) initiative has been remarkable. The country has over 99% of internet penetration.
